A Bartlesville man was seen in court on Tuesday afternoon on the charge of sexual battery. Adam Lee Thompson was already in custody as an inmate back in August 2023 when the alleged battery occurred. According to an affidavit, Thompson allegedly grabbed a female inmate’s backside.

The alleged incident took place in a transit ride back to the jail, and Deputy David Virden says that he heard another inmate in booking say that he could not believe that Thompson had grabbed her backside. The victim told police that they were initially just chatting with each other until they arrived at the jail, when Thompson came up to the victim and grabbed her.

Thompson was originally in jail on a $20,000 bond for Burglary in the second degree but tested positive for alcohol and drugs on Oct. 2^nd and subsequently had his bond raised to $50,000. He was given a court date of Oct. 27^th.
