The City Council recognized Fire Prevention Safety Week on Monday, Oct. 2^nd at their regular monthly City Council meeting.

 Fire Prevention Safety Week, set for Oct. 8-14, was started by the National Fire Protection Association in 1922 to commemorate the Great Chicago Fire of 1871.

Fire Prevention Safety Week aims to teach children and adults how to stay safe in the event of a fire.
