Osage County Sheriff Suing District Attorney

Osage County Sheriff Eddie Virden has filed a petition in civil court for damages and a motion to vacate the confirmation of sale of surplus county property against Osage County District Attorney Mike Fisher.
The petition says in part that Virden accuses Fisher of trying to stop Virden from doing his job and ruining his reputation. Virden points to the news conference Fisher held regarding the Dennis Rader investigation and a contract that Fisher advised the Board not to sign regarding a television series that would have featured the Osage County Sheriff's Office.
Here is what Fisher had to say regarding those allegations.
The petition also accuses Fisher of making a citizen's arrest on someone who was stealing his campaign signs and that Fisher attempted to file charges against a family because he believed they supported Fisher's political opponent. No charges were ever filed against Fisher in regards to the alleged stealing of campaign signs.
The sale of the Kennedy Building was also mentioned in the petition. Fisher says there is no doubt in his mind that things were done in the correct manner.
When asked if he would like to make a comment, Virden declined and referred us to his attorney.
