A Bartlesville man was seen in Washington County Court on Tuesday and Wednesday this week on five felony charges of burglary in the third degree and a misdemeanor charge of unauthorized use of a credit card after a felony conviction. Jerry Posey is alleged of stealing multiple items back in late September.

According to an affidavit, the first burglary took place on Sep. 28th in the Woodland addition area where a vehicle had a handgun, a Mastercard, a cross-body bag, backpack and social security card stolen from it, totaling $460 of items stolen.

Posey next spent $84 on gasoline as well on the Mastercard on gas at Kim’s Quick Shop and was identified on Security camera. Later that same day, two more people reported their vehicle’s had been broken in to. Posey had taken two fuel cans and tools from one victim, and a Kobalt misting fan totaled at $140 from another victim.

Two days later, Sep. 30th, Posey was pursued by a police officer due to the vehicle matching the suspected vehicle in the burglaries, until he left jurisdiction and had to call off the pursuit.

A member of Posey’s family had a vehicle that was impounded at Paul’s Wrecker Service, which contained multiple of the stolen items inside. A receipt from Homeland using the stolen card was recovered as well. Posey was arrested and is being held on a $20,000 bond. His next court date is set for Oct. 27th
