The Washington County Commissioners held a fairly standard meeting Monday morning, where they accepted several reports from county agencies.

Included in the reports were three items for Washington County Emergency Management. Director Kary Cox presented a fourth quarter report, which also served as an annual requirement for federal performance grants.

Cox explains what the report contained.

Emergency Management Deputy Director Melissa Hayes also provided an annual update to the county’s emergency operations plan that is required from FEMA and the state of Oklahoma.

Cox presented a new job description for Community Development to include language about GIS systems that the county uses for mapping services and response.

The commissioners will meet again next Monday at 9:30 a.m.
