Two Injured in a Crash in Osage County

Two people were injured in a one-vehicle collision late Friday west of Skiatook.
According to OHP, the personal injury collision occurred at approximately 10:49 Friday night on West Oak St and West Rogers BLVD 2 miles west of Skiatook in Osage County.
The report states that the driver, Jacob Payne, 30 of Owasso was heading westbound on a county road in a Subaru WRX at a high rate of speed. He failed to stop at a stop sign, departed the roadway to the right striking a tree then continuing before striking a culvert and rolling two times.
Payne was transported to St. Johns in Tulsa and admitted in critical condition with head and trunk internal injuries.
Payne's passenger,Tyler Norton, 29, of Kansas City, MO. was transported to St. Johns in Tulsa and admitted in fair condition with head, leg and trunk internal injuries.
