Assistant Principal Chief for the Osage Nation, RJ Walker was on his way to watch a premiere of the film, “Killers of the Flower Moon,” when he learned that his house had caught fire. It took the Pawhuska Fire Department nearly five hours to put out the flames and after things had calmed down, they realized it was a near total loss.

Walker told the News on 6 that all he cared about was that his family made it out safely.

The fire started after a car at the home began smoking and within seconds a fire started and spread to the home.
