Rain Raises Lake Levels Very Slightly

UPDATE AS OF 4:30 PM 10-24-2023

As of Tuesday afternoon, anywhere between a half-inch to an inch of rain has fallen across Osage and Washington counties in Oklahoma and Chautauqua and Montgomery counties in Kansas, bringing some much-needed precipitation to the drought-stricken area.

Hulah Lake has received approximately 0.64 inches of rain as of late afternoon, barely raising the lake to one foot below normal. Copan Lake is still struggling, as its watershed basin has received just under a half-inch of rain. Copan Lake is 7.31 feet below normal.
