After three weeks of the House of Representatives being at a impasse because they were without a Speaker of the House, Mike Johnson of Louisiana was finally elected speaker on Wednesday. Oklahoma Congressman Kevin Hern had put his name in the mix to be Speaker of the House earlier in the week, but on Wednesday was one of the first to congratulate Johnson by saying the following:

“You are going to make an incredible Speaker of the House and I can't wait to help where I can.”

Johnson now becomes the 56^th Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives.
