Assistant City Manager Tracy Roles, HR Manager Laura Sanders and City Water Utilities Director Terry Lauretsen were our guests on CITY MATTERS on KWON on Monday.
 
Tracy Roles reminded everyone of the up coming April 2nd City Special Election  to change the city charter. Roles asked that voter get educated on the issues before casting their votes. An informational meeting hosted by ROC-WC will be held Monday, March 25 at 6:30pm at Crossing 2nd with city officials explaining the issues. There will be another informational event on Tuesday, March 26, Meeting Room C at the Bartlesville Public Libraray with City Manager Mike Bailey conducting the presentation and answering questions from attendees. Both events are open to the public.
 
Two major officers in city government are retiring leaving openings at city hall. Bartlesville City HR Manager Larua Sanders said both Fire Chief David Topping and City Librarian Shelley McGill with both retire at the end of May this year and that applications are being accepted for those positions and several others. 
 
Laura also annouced that the first Citizens Academy is filled. The participants with engage in 6 sessions getting a behind-the scenes look at city government and how it works.
 
Bartlesville City Water Utlilties Director Terry Lauretson talked about the marginal benefits from the recent rains.
