High School Baseball Playoff Whip Around - 4/25
Recap of high school playoff baseball games on 4/24:
Despite being hot headed into the playoffs; Dewey baseball had a solid 2024 campaign end in two straight games on Wednesday night in 4A Regionals.
Bulldoggers fell to Ft. Gibson, 12-0 then Tecumseh in the loser’s bracket game, 6-1.
Dewey managed only three hits in the elimination contest and the Bulldoggers struck out 10 times. Riley Allen’s club finishes the season at 21-14.
Nowata also had its season come to an end. Ironmen fell in two straight games in the 2A Districts on Wednesday night. Ketchum topped Nowata, 10-0 and 17-1. Ironmen finish at 4-24.
Teams with games on 4/25:
Copan won game one and lost game two in its Class B Regional. Copan beat Mulhall-Orlando, 5-0 then fell to host-club Roff, 10-0.
Hornets take on Mulhall-Orlando again in an elimination game on Thursday morning. Hornets will have to win three straight to get to state.
Barnsdall begins its Class A Regional on Thursday, the event did not get moved up. Panthers takes on host-Okarche at 11:00 on Thursday morning.
