Tickets for the “Bartlesville Oil Flyer” excursion train went on sale Monday at the Bartlesville Visitor Center inside the Santa Fe depot at 210 SW Keeler.  The train ride is part of the fifth annual Whistle-and-Ride celebration scheduled for Saturday, May 23.

Train lovers of all ages will have the opportunity to take an hour-long ride on the diesel-powered excursion train, blow the whistle of steam locomotive No. 940, tour the inside of the Santa Fe caboose and view the latest addition to the train – a completely restored 1914 tank car – which is coming soon.

Train rides will depart the depot at 10, 1, and 3. Ticket prices are $10 per person.  Children four years old and under will ride for free when riding on an adult’s lap.

Proceeds from ticket sales help maintain and improve the No. 940 display, which has become a very popular Bartlesville attraction.
