Archambo Beats No. 2 Ole Miss
It was a career day for a former Bartlesville High baseball pitcher on Sunday, as AJ Archambo knocked off one of the best teams in the country.
Archambo picked up the win on the mound for Oral Roberts in the Golden Eagles' upset of No. 2 Ole Miss. ORU salvaged the final game of a three-game set, beating the Rebels 8-4.
Archambo improved to 3-0 on the year. He went five innings, giving up four runs on five hits. He struck out six and walked none.
The win helps solidify Archambo as one of the best starters on a good ORU team. So far this year Archambo has a 4.03 ERA over 22.1 innings in four starts.
A much younger former Bruin is also holding his own at ORU. Jakob Hall has a 4.50 ERA in two appearances.
Oral Roberts is 10-5 on the year.
