Barnsdall Tries to Finish in 2018-19

Going 21-5, but ended the season shy of making area has the Barnsdall Panthers wanting a bit more out of the 2018-19 season.

Barnsdall is set up to be one of the more successful teams in the area. It returns 5 players with starting experience from a team that finished 16-games above .500 a year ago. Finishing games, and seasons, will be a theme for a junior and senior laden Barnsdall team this season.

Head coach Clif Warford says the Panthers losses last season mostly came in close ballgames. He says he wants his guys to close out games with a little more gusto this year.

Barnsdall will take on Nowata in its season opener on Tuesday. That has become a usual season-opening ballgame for both clubs.

Nowata won that game a year ago, and gave the Panthers one of their 5 losses this past season.
