Bartlesville Baseball Finishing Fantastic

Bartlesville High baseball wrapped up its season with a great performance in the East 6A Regionals this past weekend.

BHS was one run away from playing for a spot in the State Tournament.

Owasso topped BHS 4-3 in the first of two possible Regional title games.

This was after BHS beat Union 1-0 in the game prior and knocked the Redhawks out of their own Regional. Brenden Asher threw a complete game shutout in the win.

Bartlesville head coach Cody Price talks about Asher’s performance in the win.

The loss in Regionals ends the career of many prominent Bruin seniors. Guys like Eric Olenburger, Zeb Henry, Luke Fox and Nik Johnson were all parts of 75 wins over the past three years. BHS made two Regional title rounds in that span.

Price says this large group of seniors was critical during an important time for Bruin baseball.

Bartlesville will lose two of its top three pitchers along with six guys in their usual starting lineup heading into 2024.
