Bartlesville Spring Football Begins

Now that spring sports are over, spring football is allowed to begin across the state of Oklahoma.

All high schools are allowed two weeks of practice, progressing to some activities with pads toward the end of the two-week period.

At Bartlesville High, the Bruins will hold their practices culminating in a spring game on Friday, May 25. That same evening, BHS will hold an alumni flag football game.

Bartlesville head coach Harry Wright is back for his second spring with the program. Wright talks about what he would like to see out of that event in a bit less than two weeks.

BHS will return most of its offensive production from a season ago. Notably PJ Wallace is back for his junior season. Wallace was one of 6A-II’s most prolific running backs a season ago, tallying nearly 1,400 yards, 10 touchdowns and six games with 100 yards or more.
