Bartlesville High basketball is coming in hot, as the Lady Bruins and Bruins will travel to Tulsa Union on Tuesday night, to open up not only the season, but also Frontier Valley Conference play.

With the departure of Jena’ Williams, the Bartlesville girl’s will be looking for some more scoring from different places in 2019. BHS knows what it has in Pittsburg State signee Chloe Martin, but others will have to contribute to keep the offense moving.

Head coach Donnie Martin says he believes that scoring could come from the post.

Erika Gruber and Lydia Knollmeyer will both be returners and part-time starters from last year’s team. Martin says he needs double-digit scoring from both of them this season.

Bartlesville is coming off an 18-8 season, the Lady Bruins lost their first playoff game of this past season at Union, 47-44 at the UMAC.

We will have coverage of the girl’s and boy’s Tuesday night on KWON – AM 1400 and FM 93.3 and you can watch on KWONTV.com. You can find a BHS basketball schedule HERE

Elsewhere on the radio Tuesday night – we will have Dewey Bulldogger basketball back in action against Adair, as Dewey will try to avenge a football playoff loss on the hardcourt.

Dewey and Nowata hoops can be heard all season long on KRIG 104.9 FM.
