Bruin Baseball Wins Opening Round of Regionals in Walk-off Fashion
The Bartlesville Bruins won in exciting walk-off fashion earlier today, as they defeated the Union Redhawks, 2-1 in seven innings.
With the bases loaded, it was senior Mason Dryden who came up clutch facing a full count with one out.
Senior Brendan Asher pitched a gem, allowing only one run in the top of the second inning against the host team. With the bases loaded and one out, it looked like things could get out of hand, but following a groundout, this strikeout from Asher kept the Bruins right in it.
The Bruins take on the winner of Sand Springs and Bishop Kelley later today at 4 p.m. on KPGM FM 99.1.
