Bruin Classic Track and Field Meet Kicks Off

Another big-time event hosted by Bartlesville High Athletics on Thursday is the Bruin Classic Track and Field Meet at the Doornbos Track at Custer Stadium.

BHS will have about 1,000 student athletes converge on Bartlesville for that meet, which starts at 10:00 AM.

We have talked about the highlights this season for Lady Bruin long distance superstar Gentry Turner earlier this spring. 

Head coach David Ayres goes over a few other highlights for BHS track and field through just a handful of meets in 2024.

Ayres says it is technically easier to go on the road for a meet. He says the setup and logistics to pull off an event like this one takes time, but getting his athletes to compete close to home makes it all worth it.
