Bruin Soccer in 6A Playoffs on Monday

Big day on Monday for Bartlesville High soccer, as the Bruins try to get over the hump in the 6A State Playoffs.

The Bruins make a long trip to Yukon for a first-round match against the Millers.

We have talked about Bartlesville’s better play down the stretch. BHS got its best win of the year in its most recent contest over Bixby.

Braxton Decker and Ian Belong have led Bartlesville this spring. Belong spent several games sidelined due to injury but is now back for the Bruins.

Head coach Cedric Muteshi says Decker was great when Belong was out and now having the both back is a bouy for the Bruins.

A 7:00 kick from Yukon High School on Monday.

This is the third straight year Bruin soccer has been in the postseason. BHS lost in overtime in the last two playoff appearances, a 3-2 loss at Union in 2022 and a 2-1 loss at Edmond Memorial last year.

Send off for the soccer team is at 2:30 on Monday afternoon.
