Bruins Fall in Semis
One of the best seasons in Bartlesville football history came to a close on Saturday afternoon in Owasso.
Bartlesvlle lost in the 6A-II semifinals to Bixby, 67-21.
The careers of the 20+ seniors ended after a 10-2 season that captivated the community.
The Bruins fell behind 19-0 early in the 2nd quarter against the defending state champion Spartans. However, Bartlesville didn't go easily. Back-to-back-to-back long touchdown passes from Colton Penrod to Qemar Gray, Tristan Crowder and AJ Archambo gave the Bruins a 21-19 lead.
Bixby would score two unanswered touchdowns before the halftime break, and continue to pour it on in the third quarter.
The Spartans move on to play Sand Springs in the 6A-II state championship game in the first weekend of December.
