Copan Again Faces Regional Foe

Copan football will have its second area battle in a row on Thursday night, as the Hornets will host their co-op partner from two years ago, Wesleyan Christian School.

Copan came the closet it’s been to winning a game this season this past Friday, during a 62-58 loss at South Coffeyville.

The Hornets built a big lead early, leading by 28 points in the 2nd quarter, in part because of four interceptions returned for touchdowns. However once the turnover well dried up, South Coffeyville staged its comeback.

Copan head coach Marshall Foreman explains.

Copan is 0-6. The Hornets will host a Wesleyan Christian School club that just had its win-streak snapped. After winning their first two district games, the Mustangs fell to Medford last week, 58-13. WCS is 2-4.

More on this area battle later on this week.
