Spring sports are winding down across the college ranks, as well, and two pitchers who are from the Bartlesville-area are anchoring their respective NCAA DI clubs.

Let’s start with Oral Robert’s starter, former Bartlesville Bruin and Doenges Ford Indian - Jakob Hall.

Hall has held on to the Friday starter’s role the entire season. Oral Robert’s is likely NCAA Tournament bound later this month. ORU wrapped up its home schedule with a three-game sweep over Southern Indiana this past weekend and stands at 40-11 on the year.

Hall has gone 7-3 with a 3.38 ERA in 13 starts this spring. He has gotten stronger as the year has gone along. Hall has only surrendered six earned runs in his past five starts and 34.1 innings pitched. He has struck out 28 and walked four in that span.

ORU is at Western Illinois this weekend.

Another local guy in former Caney Valley Bullpup Jace Kaminska has also locked down a weekend starters spot at his new school in Nebraska.

Kaminska spent his first two seasons at Wichita State. He transferred to Nebraska this past year. This season for the Cornhuskers Kaminska has gone 7-3 with a 4.52 ERA.

During his last start he went seven innings against Penn State – giving up two runs, with seven strikeouts and no walks.

Nebraska is 29-20-1 on the year. The Cornhuskers finish their regular season this weekend at Purdue.

Both Hall and Kaminska will have a chance at going to the NCAA Tournament with their respective clubs and would be in line for starts in Regionals if their schools get there in a couple of weeks.
