The Doenges Ford Indians are getting set for the summer of 2023.

The Tribe will hold its annual tryouts on Saturday morning at 10:00 at Bill Doenges Memorial Stadium. Bartlesville has some notable returners who are likely going to play for the program again this summer.

Manager John Pannell talks about some familiar names coming back to play summer baseball in Bartlesville.

Former Bartlesville High outfielder Luke Fox, former Caney Valley Trojan in Hayden Fiddler and a former Bruin who was in college this past year – Harrison Clark, are all expected to be back this summer, as well.

Any high school or college freshman or sophomore who is 19 years old or younger is invited to the tryouts. The Indians will also take older college pitchers.

There will be a younger Braves club this summer, as well.

Bartlesville is coming off a 23-15 season a year ago. Pannell is back for his fourth year in a row running the program and No. 14 overall.

The Indians will kick off their season on the weekend of June 2 in Fort Smith, Arkansas.
