Merciez Leads Bruins Again
Bartlesville High baseball is back in action for a tough District two-game series early this week. BHS heads to Stillwater to take on the Pioneers on Monday afternoon.
Bartlesville got over .500 after finally getting a game in on Saturday afternoon.
The Bruins beat Bishop Kelley 5-0.
It was a better performance at the plate and anther good one on the mound. Kaden Romesburg went the complete game. He gave up 6 hits, no walks and struck out three over the seven frames.
The only Bruin to log more than one hit was Barrett Merciez. The sophomore went 2-3 with a run scored and an RBI against the Comets.
Merciez will likely get the ball on the mound on Monday against the Pioneers, as well. He was brilliant in a complete game shutout victory over Moore in his first varsity start last week.
Heading into the season head coach Cody Price said he had a chance to do special things.
A scheduled 5:00 first pitch from Couch Park in Stillwater.
We will rejoin coverage of Bruin baseball on the radio in a couple weeks.
