Nowata Powerlifting Gets Multiple to State Competitions
The Nowata powerlifting team qualified four guys for state over the past weekend while at regionals. Seniors Peyton Trotter and Bear Savala qualified along with junior Jerome Jackson and sophomore Maliki Ornder. While not every lifter that competed qualified for state, every single one set a new personal best.
High school was not the only group to qualify for state. The Ironmen had six junior high-power lifters qualify for state as well in Asiah Saxton, Charles Chambers, Brennan Taylor, Jamal Nelson, Cole Martin, and Danny Rush. While not very junior high lifter qualified, they all set person bests as well.
Congratulations to all Ironmen that competed and qualified for state.
