Former Nowata Ironmen and now future Eagle Skylar Stevens officially signed to play basketball at Oklahoma Wesleyan University on Wednesday. The 2A standout averaged over 15 ppg to lead Nowata and scoring, and to a district and conference title. Stevens also helped get Nowata to their best record in years at 20-7.

Stevens talks about why he chose OKWU.

Stevens will be joining a loaded Eagle squad that has the likes of Jaden Lietzke and Derrick Talton Jr coming back, along with other starters returning. Leitzke and Talton Jr were named KCAC Players of the year (Lietzke with Player of the Year; Talton with DPOY).

Head Coach Donnie Bostwick will also be returning and coming off a nearly 30-win season that ended in the second round of the NAIA tournament. Stevens shares his thoughts on getting to play for a coach like Donnie Bostwick.

Stevens also wraps up an illustrious Ironmen career this week as he will be the only contributing Ironmen from their recent squad to graduate this year.
