OKWU Men Hoops Back at Home Saturday Evening in Conference Semis

OKWU Hoops is back this evening as they prepare to take on the St. Mary’s Spires at home in the Semi-Finals of the KCAC tournament. Wesleyan grabbed a 74-61 win over Bethel on Thursday to tip-off their post season run at 1-0.

For the Eagles, they brought home a bevy of conference awards that were announced earlier in the week. Jaden Lietzke and DJ Talton Jr were the headlines as both finished as all-conference first team with Talton also getting defensive player of the year for the second season in a row.

Kaleb Stokes slipped in to grab a third team spot for the second year in a row for him as well. Head Coach Donnie Bostwick was voted as the Coach of the year in the KCAC as well. Here is Bostwick talking about the team awards.

Eagles and Spires this evening at the Mueller Sports Center with a spot in the conference championship on Monday on the line. You can tune in at 6:40 for pregame coverage and a 7 pm tip on KWON AM 1400 FM 93.3 and 95.1.
