Oklahoma Wesleyan is headed to Ottawa, KS for their final game of the regular season, and it’s an early one this Saturday. After the Eagles had the first two games of this series with Ottawa moved up to Wednesday, it means they got a two day wait in between the last time they played, and game three of this series.

The Eagles came away with a 1-1 split that included a walk-off loss to the Braves, 6-5. Eagle Head Coach Kirk Kelly talked about the Wednesday results.

This is a precarious situation as you don’t normally see conference games played midweek, nonetheless two-games played midweek with the third one coming on Saturday. Kelly talks about the situation for his team this week.

This will be the final regular season game for OKWU baseball, with the ending result being inconsequential. Regardless of Saturday’s outcome, the Eagles will finish third in the KCAC, meaning they’ll matchup with the six seed in the conference next Tuesday in the conference tournament.

Eagles and Braves will battle this Saturday morning at 10 a.m. at Ottawa College. We will have more on the Eagles in the KCAC tournament next week.
