Oklahoma Wesleyan Baseball is off to a hot start this weekend after going 2-0 against the Bethany Swedes on Friday. It would be a run-rule in game one as Wesleyan exploded offensively with 13 runs in a 13-3 win. Victor Sanchez was the story for game number one as the senior hit two homeruns and totaled five rbi’s.

Jorge Aldrete and Blake Tablazon added in two rbi’s a piece, and Brenden Poindexter, Noah Adams, and Josue Vasquez joined the party by adding an rbi a-piece. The Eagles soared over the Swedes again in game two as well, as OKWU would put up another 13-spot to win 13-6.

Sanchez grabbed another four rbi’s in game two to give him nine rbi’s to start the weekend. While the Eagles are already up 2-0 in the weekend three-game series, Head Coach Kirk Kelly says you can’t discount any opponent.

OKWU moves to 27-11 and have now won five-straight games. The Eagles will look to make it six on Saturday when they battle Bethany at 1 pm just off Silverlake.
