OU and Oklahoma State Softball Advances
Both Oklahoma and Oklahoma State dispatched of their competition easily in the NCAA Softball Regionals over the weekend.
The Sooners and Cowgirls now head to the Super Regionals this weekend with a trip to the Women’s College World Series on the line.
OU won all three of its games in run rule fashion. An 11-0 win over Hofstra on Friday. Another 11-0 win over MIZZOU on Saturday.
Then finally a 16-3 victory over California yesterday sent the Sooners to The Supers.
Tiare Jennings with her 14th home run of the season.
OU will next face Clemson in a best of three series, Sooners against the Tigers on Friday, Saturday and Sunday if needed.
Oklahoma State may have turned things around, as the Cowgirls got wins over UMBC, Wichita State and Nebraska en route to another Super Regional appearance.
OK-State had to score four runs in the top of the seventh in the first title game on Sunday night against the Cornhuskers to win it without a game two.
This is OK-State’s first three-game win streak since mid-April.
Cowgirls will host Oregon in a Stillwater Super Regional that begins on Thursday evening.
