Patriot Athlete of the Week: Brenden Asher

It is our final Patriot Auto Group Athlete of the Week, powered by Tri County Tech, as spring sports start to wind down across the area over the next couple of weeks.

This Monday we set our sights on one of the most consistent pitchers in Bartlesville High history. Brenden Asher has been a three-year Bruin varsity District starting pitcher and a three-year Doenges Ford Indian pitcher.

Asher has signed to play NCAA Division I baseball at Oral Roberts next year. First, he will finish out his high school career. During Asher’s final regular season start as a Bruin this past Tuesday he threw seven innings of one-run baseball. A fitting end to an outstanding career.

Asher talks about how he has gotten better over the past four years.

Asher has never had an ERA over 3.2 in three years as a District starter for the Bruins, throwing against the best that 6A baseball has to offer.

He will be the third Bruin to play at ORU since 2017. Asher talks about why he chose to play for the Golden Eagles.

Bartlesville has had an up-and-down 2024 season. Asher and his fellow seniors Brett Eaves, Grant Clark, Mason Dryden and Jaden Davis have led a younger group of Bruins.

Regionals will begin on Tuesday for BHS, Asher talks about Bartlesville’s outlook.

No official bracket is out yet for the Regional, but BHS will head to Union for a first-round game against the Redhawks.

Congrats to Brenden Asher, our Patriot Auto Group Area Athlete of the Week, powered by Tri County Tech.
