Patriot Athlete of the Week: Justin Garrison
It is another Monday, which means it’s time for another Patriot Family of Autos Area Athlete of the Week – Powered by Tri County Tech.
This week we stick to another spring sport athlete in Washington County, it is Copan senior baseball player Justin Garrison.
Garrison has been a big part of a Copan baseball’s resurgence this season. Many baseball players get started with the sport with little league when they were kids, but Garrison got started with the sport only a few years ago.
He runs down his background on the diamond.
His older brother is now 22 years old and is in the Navy in California.
Copan is 11-4 on the season about halfway through the year for the Class B club. The Hornets had to co-op with Wesleyan Christian School a year ago just to have a team. Now with increased numbers under head coach Daniel Wren, Copan has its own team.
Garrison talks about what he has seen out of Copan baseball this spring.
As for off the field, Garrison says he enjoys spending time with his friends and family outdoors.
He goes over some of his favorite activities.
Garrison says he is considering going to Coffeyville Community College to get his basic college classes this fall. He says he would like to do something in the medical field.
