The Caney Valley Trojans were a great resurgence story in the 2020 football season. Despite their first-round playoff exit the season will be viewed as a success for the team. Several Trojans were honored in the Class A-6 district awards that were recently released.

Senior Seth Gilbreath was named Special Teams Player of the Year. Senior Hayden Wingo was named Linebacker of the Year. Wingo was the team leader in tackles with 95. Also, Dillon Lucas was named one of the top offensive tackles in the district.

The versatile Daniel Barham was named as the top utility player. Barham had 68 tackles and two interceptions on defense and 700 total yards with seven touchdowns on offense. The Trojans return a wealth of talent for the 2021 season.
