Stewart Reflects on Time at Bartlesville High

Bartlesville High is in the middle of a search for a new boys’ basketball coach, for just the second time in the past 23 years.

Clent Stewart stepped down from the job after 10 seasons leading the Bruins on Tuesday afternoon. KWON got a chance to talk to the former skipper about his time in Bartlesville.

Stewart talks about why he wanted to make a change. 

Stewart also said he is not done coaching forever; it is just a pause for now. He also thanked the administration at Bartlesville Public Schools and the community for its support for him and the program.

Stewart says coaching behind the scenes for a few years in Bartlesville, then taking the varsity head coaching job ignited a passion in him for the gig, 

He will continue to coach for the Kansas State TBT summer alumni team in the but says his next big step for coaching basketball is up in the air.

Stewart said the things that stick out in his mind about his time in Bartlesville go beyond wins and matchups on the court.

Stewart talks about his favorite memories from his tenure as head coach.
