TU Announces DC Hire

After a bit of a tumultuous offseason on one side of the ball, Tulsa has finally found a defensive coordinator. First year TU head coach Kevin Wilson announced the hiring of Tennessee-Martin assistant Chris Polizzi yesterday afternoon.

Wilson had brought an Ohio State assistant with him to be the Golden Hurricane’s DC, before he bolted for another coordinator spot at Indiana before spring practices began. Wilson had only defensive staffers run that side of the ball during the spring.

Polizzi had been the defensive coordinator with the Skyhawks for the past three seasons and has been at Tennessee-Martin for eight years in total.
