A Bartlesville man remains in jail after being arrested last week for allegedly attacking a man with a car.  45-year old Justin Grant Sheppard is charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and malicious injury to property.  Bartlesville police were called to a home in the 4100 block of Brookline where people were arguing.

According to a court affidavit, officers found tire tracks though the front yard and damage to a vehicle.  A man told the police that he woke up Sheppard to get a ride to work.  Reportedly, Sheppard got angry at the man and accused him of using most of the gas in the suspect's vehicle.  The affidavit states that Sheppard got a chain saw from the victim's garage and threaten to use the item as a weapon.  Sheppard got into his car and tried to run over the victim.  Instead, the suspect hit a neighbor's vehicle.  Sheppard told the police that he was attacked by the victim.  Officer's didn't see any injuries on Sheppard's body.

Sheppard's next court date is July 29th.  Bond was set at $50,000.
