The Sears store in Washington Park Mall will be closing in December.
The store will reportedly start its liquidation sale on Friday.
There are no numbers at the moment of how many employees will be affected from the Bartlesville store. Some employees can receive severance.
Rouse Properties, owners of the Washington Park Mall, says "Sears’ decision to close its location at Washington Park Mall is part of its larger plan to reduce its footprint nationwide. We are excited to recapture this prime anchor box and expect to release the space to a best-in-class retailer who we believe will be well-received by the Bartlesville community.”
Sears currently has four stores in Tulsa, and several others around the state.
