A Bartlesville man is in Tulsa's St. Johns Hospital as a result of injuries he suffered in a Sunday morning accident on Silver Lake Road just west of the Bartlesville City Limits.  The Oklahoma Highway Patrol reports a car with bald tires driven by 45 year-old Lori May of Stroud was northbound on Silverlake.  She passed pickup drven by 55 year-old Oren Chavez in a no-passing zone.  She lost control of her car and hit the pickup.  May was not injured and her passenger refused medical treatment at the scene.  Bartlesville EMS took Chaves to Jane Phillips Medical Center and he was later transferred to St. Johns.  The report states the accident was due primarily to unsafe speed on a wet roadway.
