An officer locating a vehicle that was reported stolen led a police chase and the arrest of a Bartlesville man. Tyler Larson appeared at the Washington County Courthouse on Thursday facing multiple felony charges including aggravated assault on a police officer, possession of a firearm, possession of stolen property and evading a police officer.

According to affidavit, Larson was spotted in a blue PT Cruiser that was reported stolen and began driving away once he saw the police officer pursuing him. The chase continued onto Nowata road when the Larson rolled down the window of his vehicle and fired two shots after the officers pursuing him. A short time later the vehicle crashed into a light pole on Silverlake Road.

After a struggle the officer was able to get Larson in handcuffs. He stated that he figured the vehicle was stolen because he purchased it for $20 at a local apartment complex.

Larson’s bond was set at $250,000. His next court date is set for December 1.
