Tips for Safe Heating
With the cooler weather moving in, it's time to start thinking about warming up your home. Assistant Chief Bill Hollander of the Bartlesville Fire Department says that there are a few things you should be doing to make sure your home is ready for safe heating. Besides checking your furnace, Hollander suggests having a chimney sweep clean your chimney if you plan on using your fireplace. Hollander also described two more heating dangers, space heaters and their extension cords.
