Barron Tanner Heads to NCAA

Another former Bartlesville basketball player has found a new home in the college ranks.

Former Bruin boys star Barron Tanner is graduating from Northern Oklahoma College and will finish out his career at Salem University in West Virginia.

Tanner will be a senior at Salem this fall and will be using his final year of eligibility at the NCAA Division II level.

He had a breakout season this past year for NOC Tonkawa, averaging 8.9 points-per-game and 18 minutes per contest while playing in 31 games for the Mavericks.

He was teammates at NOC with former Bruin teammate Andrew Gronigan, who also is done with his eligibility at the JUCO level.

Salem University is a private university in Salem, West Virginia. It has about 250 on campus students.
