The Bartlesville boys basketball team fell to Putnam City on Thursday night, 66-58, in its first contest of the season in the Bixby Invitational Tournament.

The Bruins led throughout much of the 1st and 2nd quarter, but a Pirate run late in the third quarter gave PCHS (2-0) the lead for good.

Antonio Castillo led BHS with 22 points, Lucas Rutter added in 12 off the bench.

Foul trouble was an issue for Bartlesville, AJ Parker, and Barron Tanner were both sidelined at times with fouls, Tanner eventually fouled out in the fourth quarter.

BHS now plays East Central at 11:30 AM on Friday morning. That game will be broadcast on KPGM Sports Talk 1500 AM, and online here at Bartlesvilleradio.com. Click on the KPGM link.
