Bartlesville High had its second home game of 2017 Monday night against Union.

BHS unfortunately keeps coming up just short in close ballgames. The Redskins topped Bartlesville 7-5. BHS quickly fell behind 5-1 in the second inning and couldn’t get all the way back. This RBI-single from Garrett Meidl pulled Bartlesville within three runs early.

Bartlesville would get within two runs on two separate occasions but that would be the closest the Bruins came.

BHS drops to 1-7-1 on the season. Union improves to 8-1.

John Cone, Easton Hammonds and Derek Hill all had two hits apiece. Edward Burke and Hunter Stoops combined to throw three scoreless innings on the mound.

Bartlesville goes to Union on Tuesday evening for another 5:00 first-pitch and another game on KWON - AM 1400 and FM 93.3. The game will be joined in progrss after the 5:00 news.
