Eagles Take Two From Friends University

Oklahoma Wesleyan University Eagles baseball team is off to a good start in their four-game weekend series against Friends University as the Eagles took two games over the Falcons 15-1 and 6-0 Friday afternoon.  In the first game, the Eagles scored seven of their 15 runs in the bottom of the third inning and never looked back.  CJ Gregory went the distance and picked up the win.  Gregory gave up a run on 11 hits and struck out four.  Scott Weaver and Will Price each got three hits.  OKWU out hit Friends 18-11.

In the second game, the Eagles scored four of their six runs in the bottom of the fifth inning to complete the sweep.  Alex Martinez went the distance and got the win.  Martinez pitched a two-hit shutout and struck out six batters.

Eagles are now 30-18 overall and 17-13 in KCAC play.  Both teams will play Saturday at Noon at Bill Doenges Memorial Stadium.
