Five Lady Doggers to Play College Softball

Five Dewey softball seniors signed letters of intent to play college ball on Wednesday morning. A ceremony DHS student center where family, friends and teammates all gathered to celebrate the accomplishments. These seniors played in three state tournaments during their time at Dewey.

Kaleena Downing signed with Florida International. This was a late switch after she had previously announced a commitment to Western Illinois. Downing was a four-time all-district performer during her time at Dewey.

Gabby Higbee signed with Tulsa. Higbee was an all-state performer this past season and had interest from several other D-1 schools.

Rian Davis signed with Neosho County CC. Davis made the all-district team two separate times.

Makenna Smith and Savanna Moll each signed locally with Oklahoma Wesleyan University. Smith and Moll were each key contributors during their time as Doggers. OKWU head coach Shawn Woods was on hand for the signing.
