Huskies Get Revenge Against Hominy

After an early season loss, the Pawhuska Huskies were looking for revenge in Friday night’s home game against Hominy and payback is what they got after a convincing 43-12 win.

After each team exchanged punts on their opening drive, it was Pawhuska’s Bryce Drummond finding Mason Gilkey to score first.

In the first contest against Hominy, Pawhuska was without Dalton Hurd and Jack Long. Hurd caught a touchdown minutes into the second quarter to take a 14-0 lead and later intercepted Hominy quarterback Jaxon Woods. Drummond found Hurd again to extend the Pawhuska lead to 29-0.

The Huskies led 36-6 before going on to get the 31-point victory. In the postgame interview, Coach Matt Hennesy was pleased with the way his defense adjusted from the first matchup with Hominy.

The Huskies will next Host Colcord next Friday at 7 p.m. That is a game you can hear on Sportstalk KPGM FM 99.1 and KPGMTV.com.
