Indians End Long Road Trip

The Bartlesville Doenges Ford Indians ended their 10-game road trip Tuesday afternoon with a split at East Central University in Ada.  The Indians lost 9-7 to Ada, but came back and won 4-1 to Ardmore.  In the Ada game, the Braves scored five of their nine runs in the bottom of the first inning to take care of the Indians.  Ryan Behar took the loss on the mound.  In five innings of work, Behar gave up eight runs on seven hits, walked three, and struck out two.  Brady Sewell and Tyler Yardley each got two hits for Bartlesville.

The second game against Ardmore was a different story.  After trailing 1-0, the Indians scored three of their four runs in the top of the fifth to claim their 14th victory of the season.  Logan McNeil got the win on the mound.  In five innings, McNeil gave up four hits, walked two, and struck out one Cardinal batter.  McNeil went 2 for 3 with a RBI while Will McDaniel, Chase Hayes, and Jacob Ruiz each got a hit.

The Indians are now 14-15 overall and ended their 10-game road trip that began at Muskogee going 4-6.  Bartlesville will begin play in the Winget Tournament Thursday evening against Free State of Kansas starting at 8 o'clock.
