The Nowata Ironmen won their third straight game Friday night with a 64-54 victory over Salina while the Lady Ironmen fell to the Lady Cats 68-35.

The Ironmen were red hot from the 3-point line making 13 from the arc.  Nowata's Zen Callahan made five 3-pointers while Matt Price made four 3-pointers to lead the Ironmen with their fifth win of the season.  Salina kept the game close making nine 3-pointers of their own.  Callahan and Price led with 23 points each while Michael Velasco added 13 points.

Cold shooting and turnovers were a factor for the Lady Ironmen as they lost to Salina, ranked 8th in Class 3A.  The Lady Cats took a 31-7 lead at halftime and never looked back.  Nowata's Kennedy Downing came off the bench and led with 11 points.  Nowata falls to 4-7 overall this season.

Next up for Nowata is Saturday afternoon at Chouteau.  Girls play at 1 o'clock while the boys game will follow.
