A Bartlesville Lady Bruin officially signed to continue her basketball playing career at an NCAA Division I institution on Wednesday afternoon.

Jena’ Williams put pen to paper and will be headed to the University of Nevada for college.

Williams has been the starting point guard since her freshman season at BHS, she will continue to play that spot during her senior campaign, which kicks off in a couple of weeks. Williams talks about her decision to join Nevada.

Nevada went 19-17 last year with a trip to the WBI Tournament.

Bartlesville-wise, Williams will be counted upon as a senior leader for a younger Lady Bruin basketball team that will be trying to make it back to the state tournament for the second straight season.

We will have more about BHS girl’s hoops from head coach Donnie Martin during Saturday’s Coaches Breakfast Broadcast, which is our full look at high school basketball across the area.

That will air on KWON – AM 1400 and FM 93.3. It will start just after 7:00 AM and run until about 9:30.
